Baptisms & ThanksgivingS
Children are a precious gift to us, and Christian parents are eager to find 
some way of marking their gratitude to God, and to ask for his ongoing blessing on their new family member.
The Anglican Church offers two possibilities. The first is a Service of Thanksgiving during which parents simply express their thanks to God, and the second is the Service of Baptism which goes much further. In Baptism parents make clear promises to nurture their child's faith, and to bring their young one up in the family of the church.
At St John's we love to celebrate new birth, and would be pleased to talk with you to find the best way forward for your family. As a starting point we ask that you first come and attend the main morning service. Afterwards you can meet with one of the clergy who will be glad to help you further.
