 County Cub Camp 13th - 15th June 2008

County Cub Camp  was held at Waddecar. There was over 1000 people there including Scout Leaders, Scouts and Cubs and we had to sleep in tents.

We went on a walk and saw some chickens. There was lots of activities & things to do, such as games. There was a bouncy castle too.

We had a big camp fire at night and people were performing acts such as juggling. The food was good, we had hotdogs for tea one night and cereal for breakfast.

t to the gift shop as well, and I bought sweets, and a friendship bracelet.

The Camp was good, it was really fun.

We are having a family camp in January but we are not sleeping in tents this time because it will be too cold. I am looking

forward to it.

  Canal Trip - August 24th

We sailed from Galgate to Glasson Dock on Ken and Val's narrow boat. Their boat is called Daisy's Lad. It was wobbly on the canal & John spilt coffee on the deck.

Ken showed me how a lock works. We had a quiz on identifying birds and animals and looking for signs. We had to find a rare bird that you can only see at night but we didn't see it. I can't remember its name. We had to wear life jackets and only three people plus Ken could go on the back of the boat at any one time. I had a go at steering the boat. We got back to Blackpool at ten o clock at night. It was really good fun.
