What We Believe
We believe that the Christian life is exciting, invigorating, transforming and affirming.
We believe that God created us all, and that this is an act of his love. He created us for a relationship with him, not that we should just know about him, but that we should really know him personally in our everyday lives. We believe that God reaches out to us today, and that he understands and cares for us.
We believe that sin is falling short of God’s mark, and that this brings separation between us and God. We believe that Jesus gave his life to deal with this, and that the Christian now enjoys a new life restored to God because of what Jesus has done for us. We believe in the ongoing work of God in our lives as he transforms and empowers us through his Holy Spirit who lives within the believer.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that this is one of the ways that God reveals himself to us today. We see the Bible as a guide for life, and as one of the ways in which God leads us individually and as a church. The Bible shows us who God is, tells us about ourselves, and leads us into truth.
We believe in the Trinity. That is, that there is one God who is found in the three persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that each is special in their own way.
